There is still time to register your interest in helping us run the Society. At short notice we are suddenly especially in need of someone to help with the membership role.
The AGM will be followed by ‘Say “How D’Ye Do?” and Shake Hands’, an extended helping of Matt Crandall’s brilliant talk based on 75 years since the Disney movie.
Matt is an internationally acknowledged Disney collector and authority on Alice’s filmic importance, and the author of Down The Rabbit Hole: Collecting ‘Alice in Wonderland’ , a comprehensive two-volume, in-depth exploration of the long (and often chequered) history of Disney’s Alice from page to screen. The talk will cover the film’s inspiration, conception, and eventual release, and highlight some of the astonishing bonanza of Alice merchandising which resulted.
