    Summer Bletchley

    Down the Rabbit Hole in Bletchley Park

    – A Codebreaker’s Parody

    Why not join us on our summer outing to Bletchley Park, the secret code-breaking centre in Buckinghamshire, on Wednesday 17th August? Arrive by midday for a private tour at 12.30pm. (The site opens at 9.30am and it is expected that members and guests will start arriving from 10.30am onwards).

    As well as looking at the historic war-time work carried out there, we will also explore connections with the ‘Alice’ books, including the WWI codebreaking parody Alice in ID 25

    Entry per person costs £17.50. For a group visit we need payment in advance by 2nd JULY. Refreshments are available to purchase on site, or you are welcome to bring a picnic.

    Visitors need to organise their own transport:

    Rail – Bletchley Park is a few minutes walk from Bletchley train station with direct services from Euston, and Milton Keynes.

    Car – Junction 13 off the M1. There is limited free parking and two electric car-charging points. For further information see https://bletchleypark.org.uk

    11.15am Princess Frideswide and Other Curious Treacle Well Tales (Jackie Holderness, local author)
    12pm On Alice and being Alice in the 21st Century (Vanessa Tait: writer, journalist & great-granddaughter of Alice Liddell)
    Followed by:
    1.30pm Spellbinding Stories, Frabjous Arts & Crafts, and Find-Your-Inner-Dodo Yoga
