Thoughts on Scholarship

Charlie Lovett

chaired by Brian Sibley

Friday 28 October at 7.30pm UK

After more than a decade of researching and writing his new book Lewis Carroll: Formed by Faith, Charlie Lovett shares his thoughts about scholarship and research. Using examples from the book, a biography of Charles Dodgson that examines in depth his religious upbringing and beliefs and the ways in which they shaped his work, Charlie will focus on the place of context, research, and vision in contemporary Carrollian scholarship.
