Important Carroll-Related Websites We try to place links to other sites in the most relevant places throughout the pages on our own site. In particular, you will find some important links on the Reading and Researching page. General Carroll-Related Sites The Lewis Carroll Homepage This is the best place for links to other sites.The site has been around for many years and has built up a huge number of links, but there are no attempts to rate the accuracy or usefulness of the sites - so visitors need to be aware that not every site is worth the same attention. Yahoo Discussion Group The busiest Carroll related discussion group on the web is the Lewis Carroll Group at Yahoo. There is a mixture of contributors with some real experts amongst them. As with any discussion group there are a few whose responses need to be taken with a pinch of salt and some have their own biases, but generally, it is a good place to visit if you want an answer to a Carroll related question. groups.yahoo.com/group/lewiscarroll Topical Subjects and Recently Found Links Imaginative Book Illustration Society IBIS is the leading organisation dedicated to promoting interest in book illustration. With Alice being so regularly illustrated, there are frequent references to Alice illustrators in the pages of IBIS's publications. It is worth investigating if your Carroll interest goes beyond the text: Brilliant Carroll Music Project Work in progress by Francois Cormery - am impressive musician/singer who is working on a Carroll project. Story Book England Discover the places in England that captured the heart of some of our best-loved authors including Lewis Carroll. Alice in Central Park This fascinating project is well worth investigation. There is something very Carrollian about the statues in Central Park - and not just the two which celebrate Alice. This photographic exploration (which is soon to be published) captures that Carrollian spirit. A piece on book collecting by Selwyn Goodacre Lewis Carroll Society member and world renowned bibliographer, Selwyn Goodacre has written a piece about collecting for the Textualities website. www.textualities.net/collecting/features-a-g/goodacres01.php Crocodiles in Cream This fascinating one man show abour Lewis Carroll has been performed around the world and has been hugely successful. In spite of all the research that has taken place over the years since it was first written, it still represents a fair portrait of Carroll and is very moving experience. Lewis Carroll in his Own Account The publication of Lewis Carroll's bank account is a remarkable contribution to Carroll scholarship. The detailed transcription of the ledgers with accompanying notes and an introductory essay presents the researcher or writer with an unusual perspective on Carroll's life.
